Bringing one of the internet culture's biggest collaborative art experiments into your bedroom, this double-sided Reddit Place duvet cover set presents the legendary canvas, created by millions of users pixel by pixel, in high definition.

The Place project, designed by Josh Wardle, was a collaborative social experiment launched on Reddit in April 2017 and repeated in April 2022. In the 2017 experiment, registered users in the r/place subreddit could collectively edit a common canvas by changing the color of a single pixel from a 16-color palette. After each pixel placement, a timer prevented the user from placing a new pixel for 5 to 20 minutes. The experiment, which ended on April 3, 2017, saw more than 1 million users place approximately 16 million pixels in total within 72 hours. Turkish users participated strongly in the event with the Turkish Flag and Atatürk's image.

Reddit Place restarted on April 1, 2022, and lasted four days. This time, subreddits coordinated on Discord and Twitch, forming huge communities; as of April 3, more than 6 million users had placed approximately 72 million pixels. At the end of the event, users could only place white pixels, and the canvas slowly returned to its original blank state.
